MALMESBURY Town Council will be celebrating members of the community for it's annual Citizen of the Year awards.
For the second year running the awards will be held virtually due to coronavirus restrictions.
The closing date to get your nominations in for this year's Malmesbury’s Citizen of the Year Awards is Monday, April 19.
Malmesbury Town Council will be making Citizen of the Year Awards to those who, in the judgement of Malmesbury Town councillors, have made the most significant and sustained contribution to the local community in the past year.
The area in which the contribution must have been made is Malmesbury, Milbourne, Cowbridge, Burton Hill, Common Road, Foxley Road and Filands.
Voting is open for people to propose nominations for a member or organisation in the community for one of five awards.
The categories are Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year (the John Poole Cup), Junior Citizen of the Year (the Julie Exton Cup), Organisation of the Year (the Paul Dove Trophy) and the 10 Year Volunteer Contribution Certificate.
Nomination forms are available now on the Malmesbury Town Council website or email administration@malmesbury.gov.uk.
Mayor of Malmesbury Campbell Ritchie said: ‘The volunteering effort across our community has been exceptional in the last 12 months.
"I expect to see this reflected in the nominations we receive and I know my town councillor colleagues and I will have a very hard job choosing the winners.
"I am very much looking forward to our awards ceremony on April 28.
