THESE are some of the people who have appeared recently before magistrates courts in Salisbury and Swindon.

WARMINSTER: Joanne Collyer, 30, of Westleigh, pleaded not guilty to two assaults by beating a woman and a man in Warminster on March 18 2020, and not guilty to assaulting the same woman on March 21 2020. She was remanded on unconditional bail until April 10 with a direction she not be allowed to cross-examine the witnesses.

PEWSEY: Jamie Mathew Cook, 27, of Olympian Road, was told to pay £250 compensation and £85 costs after pleading guilty to assaulting a man in Pewsey by beating him on May 30 2020.

STANTON ST QUINTIN: James William Hornett, 38, of Bouverie Park East, was banned from driving for two years, fined £173 and told to pay £34 to victim services and £85 costs after pleading guilty to failing to provide a breath specimen at Melksham on June 3 2020.

TROWBRIDGE: Michael Reece Parry, 21, of Bond Street, was fined £269 and told to pay £250 compensation, £30 to victim services and £85 costs, after pleading guilty to assaulting a man by beating at Trowbridge on January 7 2020.

WESTBURY: Simon Jonathan Smith, 52, of Windsor Drive, pleaded not guilty to stealing a custom made sign worth £150 in Westbury on April 14 2020. His case was adjourned to June 2.

DEVIZES: Rory James Cottle, 44, of Mayenne Place, was charged with committing a fraud, by dishonestly making a false representation between July 9 2019 and July 12 2019 at Devizes, namely that he purported to possess an iPhone 7, which he intended to sell on Gumtree, intending to make a gain of £100 for himself or others. The case was adjourned to March 19. No plea was indicated.

TROWBRIDGE: Daniel Luke Falconer, 42, of Charlotte Square, was sent for trial at Salisbury Crown Court on March 24. He is charged that between March 21 2018 and May 9 2018 at Dilton Marsh he acquired, used or had possession of criminal property, namely laundered £3,190 cash transferred from another man's accounts.

TROWBRIDGE: Jamie Eldon Taylor, 28, of Charlotte Square, was sent for trial at Salisbury Crown Court on March 24. He is charged that between April 22 2018 and October 17 2018 at Dilton Marsh he acquired, used or had possession of criminal property, namely laundered £5,290 cash, transferred from another man's accounts.

MELKSHAM: Dr Fraser Greenroyd, 29, of Chiltern Close, pleaded not guilty to damaging a wing mirror worth £100 belonging to a woman at Melksham on May 24 2019 intending to destroy or damage such property or being reckless as to whether such property would be destroyed or damaged. The case was adjourned to April 10.

BOX: Pauline Baxter, 68, of Bargates, was charged with assault by beating a woman at Box on August 16 2020. The case was adjourned to April 7. No plea was indicated.

SEEND: Diane Michelle Shearmon, 39, of Rusty Lane, was remanded on unconditional bail to April 7. She faces five charges relating to the health and welfare of cows and sheep at Spiderweb Paddocks in Seend in November and December 2019.

SEEND: Nicholas Shearmon, 54, of Rusty Lane, was remanded on unconditional bail to April 7. He faces three charges of failing to seek veterinary treatment for farm animals on or before November 20 2019; and six charges relating to the health and welfare of farm animals in November and December 2019 and in December 2020. Diane Shearmon and Nicholas Shearmon are jointly charged that on or before December 3 2019 they failed to notify the Secretary of State of the death of 21 animals within seven days; and that on or before November 22 2019 they failed to record the deaths of 10 animals in accordance with the Cattle Identification Regulations 2007; and that on or before December 3 2019 they failed to notify the Secretary of State that animals had been moved from Seend to a property at Lopcombe Corner in Salisbury; and that on or before November 22 2019 they failed to keep a flock register for a flock of sheep; and that on or before November 20 2019 they failed to hold three carcases pending consignment or disposal, in such manner as to ensure that no animal or bird had access to them.
