A fire crew from Trowbridge was called to report of smoke in the area of Blackthorn Way in Staverton today. (March 28.)
On arrival, an area of approximately 20 square metres of brush was found well alight.
Firefighters used a hose reel jet and beaters to extinguish the fire.
Other call-outs today in Wiltshire included a false alarm for a fire crew in Devizes, at 5pm, who responded to an alarm activation at a residential property in Sheep Street.
