School children brought some East cheer to Great Bedwyn.

Pupils at Great Bedwyn School took part in an Easter bonnet parade around the village, delivering eggs and Easter cards to the local residents.

On the way, they stopped at St Mary’s Church in the village, where Reverend Michael McHugh gave an Easter blessing.

The children visited Foxbury Place to give out gifts and Year 1 children performed some songs from their Easter play to residents, who had lined the streets.

Fiona de Pass, Great Bedwyn’s school reception teacher, said: “We wanted to do something as a school to celebrate Easter. "Our bonnet parade, with the theme of hope was an event that brought the school and community together in a beautiful colourful celebration”.
