Bellefield Primary and Nursery School, in Trowbridge, have launched their very first Easter Trail - and it has been a huge success so far.

The school's PTA planned the event, which launched on Sunday (April 4) after volunteers put up display boards across the area.

Trail sheets are still on sale for just £2.50 each - and all money raised will go back to the school. Windows of local homes and businesses have been spruced up with Easter decorations for the duration of the fundraiser.

A total of 29 spots on the trail challenge children to find hidden eggs and letters, to spell out a secret phrase.

Prizes, such as an Easter Hamper, are up for grabs for those who complete the trail.

Wiltshire Times: Tracey HowesTracey Howes

Tracey Howes was one of the organisers of the trail and had dotted about the area on Sunday to put the final touches to the trail.

She said: "This is the first trail we've ever done as the PTA, usually all the fundraisers we do are in school which of course hasn't been possible.

"One of our newest members came up with the idea and we went from there."

Already, 60 trail maps have been sold and nine local businesses have also got involved in the trail.

Tracey added: "People who have done the trail have really enjoyed it, we've never done anything like this before so it has been really nice to hear people have liked it."
