A young boy nearly had his bicycle stolen during an incident in Melksham this week. (Tuesday, April 6)
Police are appealing for witnesses following the "random" incident, which took place around 5pm.
The boy had been cycling from the town's skate park towards the adventure centre when an older
teenager approached.
He then is said to have threatened the boy and attempted to steal his bicycle.
Acting Sergeant Callum Davis, of Melksham Police, confirmed the boy suffered no injuries following the incident.
He said “This was a seemingly random and unprovoked incident. Fortunately the quick-thinking boy was able to cycle away without any injury”
Anybody with any information regarding this is asked to call 101 and ask for it to be passed to Team 2 CPT.
