A man in his 30s from Trowbridge has been taken to the Royal United Hospital in Bath after an incident in Mascroft Road this morning.

Emergency services were called out earlier today after concerns about the man’s mental health.

It is understood they included police, armed officers, and the ambulance service.

Two Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Melksham and Trowbridge were also called out to the scene.

Mascroft Road was cordoned off by police as the emergency services dealt with the incident.

A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: “The incident at an address in Mascroft Road, Trowbridge, has now been resolved.

“A man in his 30s has been taken to the Royal United Hospital by ambulance for treatment for leg injuries. These are not believed to be life-changing or life-threatening.”
