A TROWBRIDGE man was located by police last night following concerns over his safety.

At one point, six police vehicles and the police helicopter were involved in the search for the man.

The incident happened at around 7pm in Crawley Crescent on the Broadmead estate in Trowbridge.

Officers searched the estate and eventually the man was located and taken to a place of safety.

A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: “At around 7pm yesterday we received a report of a concern for the welfare of a man in Trowbridge.

“Officers carried out extensive enquiries to locate the man and he was safely located at around 8pm.”

It is understood the man was left with relatives who will be arranging support for him.
