ORGANISERS of the Melksham Food & River Festival say they are going ahead with this year's event in September.
They have begun taking bookings from stallholders and say they hope to stage the two-day festival on Saturday and Sunday, September 4 and 5.
Last year's festival was cancelled because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Adrienne Westbrook, of Melksham Food & River Festival, confirmed that their major sponsor Leekes is to again support the event.
She said: "It's fantastic news. Leekes have come forward and said yes, they will support the event.
"We have made a positive decision about having the festival in the first weekend in September."
The festival will be staged on the River Avon and in Melksham's King George V playing field.
In past years, it has involved activities on the River Avon and food and drink stalls in the park.
