Plans for a new drive-thru Starbucks in Chippenham have been submitted to Wiltshire Council.
Cooper Estates Developments, has bid to build a drive-thru coffee shop on Bath Road between the McDonald’s and the Busy Bee Nursery.
The intention is for Starbucks to take up the unit on which has been proposed to install six eclectic charging points with rapid charging facilities.

In the planning statement, agent NJL Consulting said: “This investment in key emerging infrastructure goes significantly beyond local policy aspirations, and plays an important role in meeting government zero-emissions targets.”
The statement adds that the new Starbucks will generate 20 jobs in both full and part-time roles with additional jobs during the constructions and fitting.
A decision by Wiltshire Council on the bid is expected to come on May 17, 2021.
UK-wide Starbucks is creating 400 new jobs as customers return to the coffee giant as lockdown restrictions continue to ease.
These jobs will be available in nearly 200 shops in high streets, city centres and drive-thru locations – such as the one proposed for Chippenham.
This is in anticipation of a busy summer in the UK once social distancing ends in June.
