HOTSPOTS of Japanese knotweed have been revealed for Swindon and its surrounding areas.

The plant can cause damage to properties and is invasive, which is very hard to get rid of.
The Japanese knotweed infestations within a 4km radius for 2022 are:
Fairford: 14
North Swindon: 6
South Swindon: 6
Chiseldon/Wroughton: 3
Cricklade: 3
Lechlade: 3
Royal Wootton Bassett: 1
Shrivenham/Watchfield: 1
Lambourn: 1
Homeowners should be vigilant for the distinctive spear-like shoots emerging in their gardens or near their homes as the knotweed growing season has started.
