PARISH councillors for Heytesbury, Imber and Knook are being urged to set up a new working party to look at future options for more homes in the villages.
The Parish Council at its extraordinary meeting in February accepted the Wiltshire Council local plan review that stated 25 new homes might be built in Heytesbury and Knook. Imber is largely a deserted village.
Independent councillor Vanessa Sturmey, who represents Knook, said: "If we do not come up with some kind of a plan for delivery we may find that landowners and developers will step in.
"We might end up with housing types we don't want in areas where we don't want them.
"It would be much more preferable for the community to be involved and have their say on planning for this important issue.”
The proposal will be discussed at the parish council's annual meeting at 7pm on Tuesday at Heytesbury Primary School.
