A MAN will appear before a Salisbury judge next month accused of holding his wife against her will.
Robert Nemeth-Perz, 49, is also said to have assaulted the woman during the ordeal in Trowbridge on February 7 last year.
Prosecutors claim that over a month and a half between December 23, 2019 and February 7, 2020, he recorded private calls, tracked her location and was overbearing.
Appearing before Salisbury Magistrates’ Court on Friday afternoon, Nemeth-Perz, of Haden Road, Trowbridge, entered no pleas to allegations of false imprisonment, causing actual bodily harm and engaging in coercive and controlling behaviour towards his then wife.
He was bailed to attend the crown court on June 11.
A co-defendant, Mateusz Baka, 25, of Primmers Place, Westbury, faces an allegation of false imprisonment. He did not attend the court hearing and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Charles Nightingale appeared for the Crown Prosecution Service. Harriet Heard represented Nemeth-Perz and Moses Tawo appeared for Baka.
