THE Duchess of Beaufort is opening the private gardens of her home at Well Cottage in Little Badminton for one day only to gardening enthusiasts to raise funds for a Wiltshire hospice.

The garden was designed and created by the late Duke of Beaufort and Miranda, Duchess of Beaufort and is rarely open to the general public.

Unique in its design, the garden situated on the edge of the Badminton Estate and is something everyone with an interest in gardens will not want to miss.

The event is in support of Dorothy House Hospice Care at Winsley, of which the Duchess is a patron.

Philippa Watson, of Dorothy House, said: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to invite our supporters to visit this wonderful garden and to help raise money for Dorothy House.

"The pandemic greatly affected our fundraising abilities and we are so grateful to the Duchess of Beaufort for allowing us this day at Well Cottage.”

The garden will be open on Sunday, June 27 from 10am- 4pm. Tickets at £6 per person from littlebadminton-opengarden.eventbrite.co.uk/

Refreshments will be available and stalls selling plants and home-made goods. All proceeds go to Dorothy House. Wheelchair access is limited.
