TROWBRIDGE Library will be closed for the Police & Crime Commissioner elections on August 19.
The library in County Hall, Trowbridge and the exhibition area will be turned into four polling stations for the rerun of the Swindon and Wiltshire PCC elections.
All other services will continue as usual and no other libraries in the county will be affected on the day.
Returning officers and Wiltshire Council chief executive, Terence Herbert said: “For anyone attending to vote, the four polling station areas will be cordoned off and will have a marshal to direct voters to the correct polling station.
“I’d like to apologise to all library users in Trowbridge for any inconvenience caused by this temporary closure, and hope they’ll visit the library during its usual opening hours for the rest of the week.”
Voters are urged to check the details of their polling stations carefully, as they may be different to the May elections.
