POLICE in Trowbridge have this week issued a closed circuit television image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the theft of a child's scooter.
The black and white scooter, which belonged to a young girl, had been left outside the Sainsbury's superstore in British Row, Trowbridge, at around 10.30am on July 5 when it was taken.
Police said: "Witnesses said they saw a man pick up the scooter and walk off with it in the direction of the town centre.
"We have been carrying out enquiries and are now in a position to release a picture of a man who we would like to speak to in connection with this incident."
Some people who have seen the police message on local social media claim to know the man, while others have criticised the quality of the CCTV image.
If you know anything about this theft, or if you recognise the man in the image, please call Wiltshire Police on 101, quoting crime reference 54210064718.
