MELKSHAM and Bradford on Avon Primary Care Network is celebrating have delivered its 50, 000th Covid-19 vaccination at the Spencers Sport and Social Club vaccination centre.

Dr Abby Burgess, of PCN, said: "This is a momentous achievement and we are so grateful to our team of volunteers who have enabled this to happen.

"These volunteers are all local people who are so generous of their time and experience in delivering the Covid vaccination programme; our heartfelt thanks go to them for their unwavering support and sunny smiles.

"We are also very fortunate to have the Spencer's management team who accommodate the service so beautifully."

The event was marked with balloons personally donated by John Hawker of CM3 and cakes by Waitrose management.

The centre is continuing to vaccinate all over 18-year-olds and if you are three months off your 18th birthday you too now qualify for a vaccine.

Dr Burgess added: "Every clinic accepts walk-ins so please come along and take the step towards freedom.

"Keep watching for clinic details on our social media, we generally run 2-3 clinics every week at evenings and weekends."

Plans are being made for flu and Covid booster vaccinations which will also be delivered by the PCN at Spencer's from September through to December 2021.

"As soon as we have clinic details we will let patients know and look forward to seeing many of you again to get you protected against influenza as well as Covid-19 going into the winter months."
