James May has released his own line of craft gin, after purchasing a pub in Wiltshire last year.

The former Top Gear host now sells his own line of 'James Gin'.

The television star announced last month that he was releasing a range named Asian Parsnip Gin, inspired by his love of both his homeland and international travel destinations.

James Gin was created with the help of Hugh Anderson of Downton Distillery, and the flavours mix the English parsnip with South-East Asian spices.

May originally made a limited-batch of just 1,420 bottles, personally signed and numbered by himself, but it quickly sold out.

However, he plans on a second batch of the gin, which you can pre-order on jamesgin.com

The website says the next batch "will not be signed and numbered, because I can’t be arsed, and it will be unlimited. As a result it will be slightly cheaper."

James May announced in September last year that he had bought "one half" of the Royal Oak, in Swallowcliffe.

The pub, which he has dubbed "The Roy", fast became fully booked on its original opening night, before lockdown restrictions were reintroduced.
