WILTSHIRE clubs including Swindon Supermarine and Highworth Town have discovered their FA Cup first round qualifying ties today.
In ties set to take place on Saturday, September 4, Lee Spalding's men will travel to Poole Town in the club's first FA Cup action this term while the Worthians will host Wessex League Premier Division outfit Shaftesbury after coming through their preliminary qualifying round against Wantage Town last Friday night.
Highworth emerged 2-1 winners from a competitive affair thanks to goals from Felipe Barcelos and Rob Dean.
Meanwhile, Royal Wootton Bassett Town must come through a replay against Ardley Town on Tuesday night if they are to face Southern League Premier Central outfit, Banbury United.
Sam Collier's side nabbed a replay after Gio Wrona equalised in the dying minutes at the Gerard Buxton Sports Ground on Saturday.
Bassett had led initially as Alan Griffin headed home from a Chris Taylor corner before two long-range goals from Liam Talboys put Ardley in front.
Bradford Town must also win a replay against fellow Wiltshire outfit Alton if they are to reach the first qualifying round.
George Box put the Bobcats in front before Alton equalised early in the second half. It could have been worse for Bradford too after Luke Burman was sent off for two quick-fire yellow cards, and Alton missed a good chance to win it late on.
FA Cup first qualifying round draw
Highworth Town v Shaftesbury
Banbury United v Royal Wootton Bassett Town or Ardley United
Poole Town v Swindon Supermarine
