WESTBURY United and Royal Wootton Bassett Town were the only two Wiltshire sides to win each of their games over the Bank Holiday weekend.

Westbury only played once, but they beat local rivals Bradford Town 2-0 away from home thanks to a quality brace from Sammy Jordan.

Bassett, meanwhile, played twice and beat both Shrivenham and Hereford Lads Club.

Khedive McIntosh, Alan Griffin and Matt Bennett scored during the 3-1 victory over Hereford, while Griffin was the late hero in a 1-0 success away at Shrivenham.

Prior to Bradford’s defeat against a fresh Westbury, the Bobcats cruised to a 3-1 win away at Fairford Town courtesy of an early brace from George Box and a solitary strike from Charlie Wiles-Richards.

Ross Langworthy replied for Jody Bevan’s side.

Fairford also lost 3-1 to Brimscombe & Thrupp on Bank Holiday Monday too as George Peare netted.

Shrivenham began the weekend with a battling 3-2 success over Tuffley Rovers. Joshua McGrory scored one while Jonathan Peachey-Score bagged two.

Corsham Town and Calne Town faced off on Monday, with Kieran Baggs’ men romping to an emphatic 4-0 victory against their Wiltshire rivals.

The evergreen Gary Higdon struck twice while and own-goal and substitute Matthew Swann completed the scoring.

In the pair’s first games of the weekend, Calne hung on for a 2-1 win away at Chipping Sodbury Town thanks to goals from Matthew Jenkins and Josh Bright.

Meanwhile, Corsham were thumped 4-1 at home by Brimscombe & Thrupp. Tom Stocks scored Corsham’s only goal of the game.
