FIRE crews in Corsham and Trowbridge have been busy over the weekend as duty called.
On Saturday, a crew from Trowbridge assisted a young child whose leg was stuck in a cot at a house in Bowerhill. No medical attention was required. The incident happened at 1.07pm.
A crew from Corsham they attended an oil leak at a property in the town involving around 2,200 litres of oil leaking heating oil storage tank.
The crew stemmed the leak with putty and placed a container under the tank to contain any further leaks and then gave advice to the occupier.
The incident happened at around 1.44pm on Saturday.
In a second incident, the Corsham crew received a call about a bale of hay on fire in Great Cumberwell at 6.50pm on Saturday.
The Corsham crew attended and found a 750kg bale of hay that was 50 per cent damaged by fire. The crew spread out the bale of hay using two hay drags and extinguished using one hose reel.
