RESIDENTS in Bradford on Avon are being urged to take part in the town’s Climate Festival as part of the nationwide Great Big Green Week.
The event is taking place from 11am to 3pm on Saturday, September 25, in St Margaret’s Hall and Westbury Gardens.
Organiser Rowena Quantrill said: “This is part of a whole town effort to mark Great Big Green Week.
“It’s a nationwide effort to focus people’s attention on the climate emergency and the importance of strong leadership from the UK government which is hosting the UN conference, called COP26.
“There will also be a display in the library focussing on climate justice and the week will culminate in a Climate Festival where there will be information on how to shop in a more environmentally-friendly way and how to reduce energy usage.
“There will also be a live entertainment, a repair cafe, the Bradford Sewing Bee and demonstrations of electric vehicles.”
