POLICE in Westbury and Warminster have issued a warning to householders to make sure their vehicles and sheds are locked when not being used.
The warning follows an increase in reports of overnight thefts from motor vehicles and shed break ins in the surrounding villages.
PC Helen Darvill said: "We would remind members of the public to take extra care to lock their vehicles even if the vehicles are parked on your driveway and remove any valuables from the vehicle.
"We are dealing with five reported incidents that have taken place in Edington and Coulston area.
"If you have had your car broken into, noticed anything suspicious, have CCTV/Ring doorbell or dashcam that has captured anything suspicious, we would ask you to report this by calling us on 101 or by logging it online: https://crowd.in/PkSPQc for the attention of PC 1409 Darvill."
