THREE drivers and passengers on a Faresaver bus escaped unhurt after a collision on the A350 at Beanacre on Monday.
The crash involving a double-decker bus, a HGV tanker and a car blocked the northbound carriageway on the A350.
The road closed in both directions between Wetlands Lane at Beanacre and Melksham Road in Lacock. Traffic monitoring site Inrix said the accident was causing queuing traffic.
Passengers on the Faresaver bus were evacuated from the damaged vehicle after the collision. Many of them were young students travelling to the Wiltshire College & University Centre campus at Lackham.
A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: “We were called at 8.35am yesterday morning to a three-vehicle road traffic collision on the A350 near Lacock.
“It involved a bus, a tanker and a car, but thankfully nobody was injured. The road was clear by 9.45am.”
The collision caused some disruption with motorists unable to drive past the accident scene until it was cleared.
