THE CIVIC dinner and dance will make a return this year the mayor of Trowbridge has confirmed.

As she continues to raise money for her chosen charities, town mayor Denise Bates says she is delighted to host the first civic dinner since 2019.

Taking place on Saturday, March 5 at the Civic Centre; there will be an enchanted forest theme to raise money for Dorothy House Hospice and Bath Cancer Unit Support Group through raffles, auctions and donations.

In previous years, the event has raised thousands of pounds for local charities and is designed to celebrate the town, as well as the mayoral year.

A spokesman for the town council said: “Not only does the event support the local charities, achievements within the town will be recognised by the presentation of the both the Civic Award (recognising an individual or organisation that has made a significant contribution to the town) and the Town Enhancement Award (similarly, a building project that has enhanced Trowbridge)."

The event is sponsored by Trowbridge Ford and Allsworth Flooring.
