A fun-loving mum has recreated the challenge she used to amuse her children by organising an eggciting Easter egg hunt with the chance of winning prizes.

Caterer Mandy Daffurn used to hide clues around her home at Easter time with chocolate eggs as prizes for her children Faye, Josh and Daniel, when they were young.

Now stepping forward in time Mandy is recreating that theme around her catering van at Staverton Club reliving the feeling of giving something to children at this holiday time.

She said: “It was always a good feeling hiding clues for my kids and seeing their faces when they won Easter eggs.

“I have now organised an Easter egg hunt with prizes for finding hidden clues on the area around the club at Staverton.

“I have also organised an indoor bouncy castle at the club along with arts and crafts activities, and I’m told the bar will be open for mums and dads.”

The event is scheduled to start at 11am on Easter Saturday (April 16).

An Easter egg hunt was once popular event organised by the Bradford on Avon Lions Club on Easter Monday after the pastime was introduced by New Zealander Philip Miller.
