THE family of a man who died following a road traffic collision on the A350 earlier this month have released the details of his funeral.

Robert Godfrey, who was 69 and from Westbury, died following a collision on the A350 at Yarnbrook at around 9.20pm on Monday, April 4.

A tribute was issued by his family a few weeks ago.

They would now like to inform the local community that his funeral will be held at 11am on Tuesday, May 3.

They have requested family flowers only, but any donations in his memory to be made to Wiltshire Air Ambulance.

His family would also like to extend their thanks to everyone who has been in touch, sent cards and offered messages of support. It has been greatly received and much appreciated.

The Wiltshire Police investigation into the cause of the collision is currently ongoing.

A 29-year-old man arrested in connection with the collision has been released under investigation while police enquiries continue.

Wiltshire Police were called to the incident between Trowbridge and Westbury at 9.20pm on Monday (April 4) and the road was closed for 12 hours.

The road was closed between the Yarnbrook Roundabout and the junction with Church Road in Heywood.

The collision involved a Range Rover and a Nissan X-Trail

At the time Wiltshire police were requesting dash cam footage from fellow drivers around the time of the incident.
