TRAFFIC through Trowbridge is likely to be disrupted in the evenings by resurfacing works taking place in the town centre over the next four days.

They are planned for along Union Street, Trowbridge, between the junction with Timbrell Street and the roundabout with St Thomas’ Road and The Halve.

The works involve repairs to the existing carriageway, the installation of new road markings and the adjustment of surface ironwork.

The works began this morning Monday, May 16 and should be completed on Thursday May 19.

Wiltshire Times:

They are taking place between 7pm and midnight, however, on occasions they may over run due to uncontrollable circumstances such as plant breakdowns, if weather conditions are unfavourable, or occasionally if contractors discover the need for additional repairs once the work has started.
Due to the nature of the works and the local environment, the works will be carried out within a temporary road closure, to ensure that adequate health and safety is maintained for the contractor and local residents.
Road markings and ironwork adjustments may need to be completed at a later date.
The road will be open as normal outside of these hours.
