THE Wiltshire & Swindon coroner has ruled that a Chippenham man suffering from anxiety and depression had taken his own life.

An inquest into the death of Timothy Philip Penfound, 37, resumed in Salisbury on Friday (May 13) after being opened on November 19 last year.

He was found in his home in Pewsham, Chippenham, at 9.15am in the morning of Tuesday, November 2 last year.

Mr Penfound was a web designer and was married.

An attending paramedic confirmed his death after being called out to his home and his body was discovered.

The inquest heard evidence from three police officers, his local GP, his father, as well as a toxicologist.

Giving a verdict of suicide, Wiltshire and Swindon senior coroner David Ridley said: “Timothy suffered from depression and anxiety which had become exacerbated in the days leading up to his death.”
