WARMINSTER Town Council is accepting entries to its Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Bake Off Competition right up until the day of the event on Saturday,  June 4.

The theme is ‘Queen’s Platinum Jubilee’ and there is no limit on cake size or type. You could bake a cake in the shape of a crown or corgi, decorate cupcakes or recreate Windsor Castle in sponge.

Bring your home-baked cake to Warminster Civic Centre to enter one of the three categories: Junior (9-12 years old), Young Person (13-16 years old) and Adult (17+ years old).

The highest scored bakers will win a Queen’s Platinum Jubilee baking trophy and each age category will have a ‘Star Baker’ that will receive a commemorative wooden spoon.

Contact Warminster Civic Centre for an entry form or download one from the Warminster Town Council website. Bakes have to be delivered to the Civic Centre by 9 – 9.45am on June 4 and collected between 3 – 4pm.

Book tokens are also up for grabs with a £50 first prize for the winner of the town council’s Queen’s Platinum Jubilee fancy dress competition.

Judging will take place outside the Civic Centre on June 4 at 1pm. This competition is open to children 16 years old and under. Consolation prizes will be given to all who enter.
