VOLUNTEERS at the Chippenham Prayer Café have celebrated its 10th birthday with a free party for its users.

They hosted a free birthday party for people of all ages on Saturday (June 25) from 11am-1pm at the Station Hill Baptist Church in Chippenham.

The voluntary-run café is celebrating its 10th year of giving to the community with live music, games, face painting, party bags, hot drinks and snacks galore.

Spokesperson Liam Berry said: “There was a great party atmosphere with live music, food and drinks, crafts, face painting, party bags and more.

“The organisers of the café would like to thank all those who came to celebrate this momentous occasion with them.

“The Prayer Café continues its mission to serve the community, where a warm welcome awaits all.”

The volunteers at the Chippenham Prayer Café open the facility each Saturday morning from 11am-1pm.

Mr Berry says the volunteers have worked tirelessly, week in and week out, supplying hot drinks, bacon rolls, cakes and a listening ear to the Chippenham community, all without charge.
