MOTORISTS have been warned to expect delays due to a wide load convoy leaving the West Wilts Trading Estate at Westbury on Thursday morning (June 30).

The convoy will move from the Westbury Industrial estate to the A350 at Yarnbrook, travelling along the A350 past Semington, Melksham, Lacock and Chippenham.

It will join the M4 at Junction 17 Westbound for its onward journey to the north of England.

Owing to its width, the loads are likely to be slow moving and have the potential to create congestion in places between 9.30am - 11.30am on Thursday morning.

A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “Wherever possible, disruption will be kept to a minimum although both hauliers and motorists are asked to please be patient should they come across this move.

“Anyone travelling in the vicinity over this period on time critical matters should allow sufficient additional time for their journey.”
