A BMW driver was seen crashing into a cyclist on a busy road last week.

A grey BMW car hit a cyclist on the pedestrian crossing from Drakes Way onto Ocotal Way last Monday, August 8, at 8:45am.

The driver accelerated excessively when the traffic lights turned green, colliding with the back end of the cyclist.

Wiltshire Police is now trying to identify the cyclist who may have suffered injuries following the road traffic collision.

The cyclist is described as a white man with an accent, in his mid-20s, with brown or black hair, and wearing black three-quarter length trousers and a black top.

He sustained a few cuts in the incident.

He is said to have spoken to a member of the public at the scene but left without giving his details.

Wiltshire Police said: "We are trying to locate the cyclist, any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage.

"If you can help, please contact us on 101 quoting reference 54220083310."
