A theft victim who watched in horror as his prized £10,000 motocross bike was sold on TikTok has launched a complaint against Wiltshire Police.

Geoff Bracey’s limited edition Ken Roczen Honda CRF450 was stolen on December 30 and then moved quickly on to a Leicestershire dealer.

The red bike is distinctive in that it has a special WP ‘White Power’ suspension system fitted to the front and rear wheels.

Mr Bracey, 55, of Studley Rise, Trowbridge, has offered a four-figure reward for the return of the stolen bike.

He managed to track it down to Leicestershire but claims the bike has since been sold on by a dealer who advertises on TikTok.

Geoff said: “It was sold up in Leicestershire a few weeks ago by a dealer who appears to be well-known.

“I have a video of him on TikTok saying ‘Another bike sold. I don’t sell any rubbish’.

“It shows the bike loaded on the back of a transporter.”

Mr Bracey now plans to complain to Wiltshire Police, saying they failed to act on information he gave them about potential suspects.

“I asked one of the police officers to call me back on March 3 but they have still not responded," he said.

“They did not interview any of the people that I gave them names for.

“I also contacted Leicestershire Police and gave them some details but they say they can’t do anything. It’s not a crime of interest.

“Most of the guy’s name is on a picture of his driving licence so they obviously know who he is.”

The bike was stolen after Mr Bracey advertised one of his four motorcycles, a RMZ450 motocross bike, for sale. He was messaged by a potential buyer the same evening.

That night, four young men stole the bike he had bought last July and had never ridden.

“I only messaged one person and intended to put only the first three digits of my postcode but the predictive text included the last three digits,” said Geoff.

“The same night four youths came in a car and stopped in Holbrook Lane.

"I have CCTV footage of them going down the road.

“The CCTV footage shows one of them wheeling the bike down the road at 4am on December 30. It was stolen the same night as the message was sent.

“I rang the guy back but he denied all knowledge but he came from the Weston-super-Mare area.”

The bike is predominantly red with blue and white flashes and had the number 26 on the side over the rear wheel.

Mr Bracey says: “The stickers have since been taken off but the suspension is still fitted to the bike and is very rare.

Geoff said: “The bike will stand out because you will rarely see a bike fitted with that kind of suspension."

A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: "We would like to hear from anyone with information about a red Honda CRF450 motocross bike that was stolen from a property in Studley Rise, Trowbridge.

"The distinctive twin exhaust motorcycle, which has the number 26 on the side panels and the front, is thought to have been taken from the property on Friday, December 30.

"If you know where this bike is, are offered it for sale or have any other information that could help reunite it with the owner, please call us on 101 quoting log: 54220135875. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
