A former Wiltshire auction house boss has been jailed after being found guilty of sexual activity with a child.

Richard Edmonds, the former director of Chippenham-based Richard Edmonds Auctions Limited, was jailed for eight years after he was found guilty of five counts of sexual activity with a girl aged between 13 and 17, whose identity is protected by law.

The 46-year-old, of Colerne, pleaded not guilty to all counts but was found guilty by a jury at Swindon Crown Court.

On Wednesday, September 27, Edmonds was sentenced to a total jail term of eight years.
