A suspected drug driver has been banned from the roads after refusing to provide the police with a blood sample.
Nicholas Murkin of Warren Crescent in Calne has been disqualified from driving after pleading guilty to failing to provide a specimen for analysis.
The 44-year-old was stopped in Pound Close, Lyneham, in the early hours of October 28, 2022, where a roadside test showed him to be under the legal blood alcohol limit.
A roadside drug wipe indicated a positive result but Murkin refused to give an evidential blood sample after being taken into custody.
He appeared before Swindon Magistrates' Court on Monday, October 9 and was given a 24-month driving disqualification and fined £675.
He was also ordered to pay £620 to the CPS in court costs and ordered to pay a £270 surcharge.
