Burglars allegedly threatened police and damaged officers’ vehicle as they fled the scene of a supermarket break-in.

Police were called to the Tesco Express store at Thornhill Road in Warminster, at around 12.40am on the morning of Monday, November 6, after an alarm was activated at the shop.

Officers arrived at the scene but were reportedly threatened by suspects at the rear of the store, who then caused damage to a police vehicle before fleeing at speed in a black Audi, towards Masefield Road.

A pursuit was authorised but the vehicle was lost before officers could apprehend the suspects.
