Two officers have received medical treatment after an unknown substance was thrown at them.
Police were called to reports of an aggressive male in Catalina Court, Melksham, on Thursday, October 3 when an unidentified liquid was thrown at two officers.
The street was cordoned off for several hours while police, ambulance and fire service vehicles attended to the incident.
Specialist officers wearing white suits were also seen outside the property.

Both officers were treated at the scene and did not sustain any serious injuries, while a man in his 40s was detained under the Mental Health Act.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “Officers attended an address in Catalina Court, Bowerhill, Melksham just before 4pm on October 3 to mental health incident.
“A man in his 40s was detained.
“Officers were treated at the scene after an unknown liquid was thrown at them.
“No serious injuries were sustained.”
