A gym has reopened following a four-week refurbishment and a video shows how it looks inside.

The Springfield Community Campus in Corsham opened on December 9 following a complete replacement of the fitness equipment and an updated training area. The latter now has a versatile rig for bodyweight training, curved treadmills and AirBikes.

On top of this, the gym now boasts an upgraded free eight area featuring integrated lifting, a plate loaded hip thruster and an Olympic four-in-one rack.

More cable machines have also been installed after being requested by gym members, and the whole place is kitted out with new flooring and decoration.

Wiltshire Council described it as a “complete transformation”.

Anyone wanting to take part in a detailed tour around the new gym at Springfield Community Campus can now do so by booking in for a group induction session led by fitness consultants, and those wanting to access the gym as normal can do so from Monday, December 9.

The refurbishment of the Corsham gym is one of a long list of refurbishments which have been taking place at leisure facilities across the county.

Lime Kiln Leisure Centre in Royal Wootton Bassett, The Olympiad in Chippenham, Five Rivers Health and Wellbeing Centre in Salisbury, and Devizes Leisure Centre have all already undergone improvements.
