Emergency services have rushed to the scene of multiple fires in Devizes on Friday evening.
Fire crews were called to reports of a house fire in Woodlands, Bath Road in Devizes at 2.40pm on Friday, July 11, and a separate building fire in Mayenne Place at 2.55pm.
Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue have confirmed that the fires are not connected despite being roughly half a mile apart and breaking out at similar times.
Four fire crews responded to the blaze in the first floor of a property in Bath Road, while a further two crews tackled the shed fire in Mayenne Place.
It is understood that the fire on Bath Road is being treated as a crime scene with investigating officers being seen at the site, although this is yet to be confirmed by Wiltshire Police.
The latest update from the fire service came shortly before 4pm, with a spokesperson stating: "We are in attendance at a domestic property fire on Bath Road, Devizes.
"We were called at 2:40pm today and four fire appliances were mobilised from Trowbridge, Ludgershall, Calne and Corsham.
"On arrival crews found a fire on the first floor of a detached property which is being extinguished using two main lines and two hose reel jets."
On the separate fire at Mayenne Place, a spokesperson added: "We were called to reports of a building fire on Mayenne Road, Devizes at 2:55pm today.
"Crews from Marlborough and Malmesbury were mobilised and on arrival found a large shed alight.
"This is still ongoing."
Wiltshire Police have been approached for comment on their investigation into the incidents.
