A Melksham pub is taking part in a festive drinks promotions and competitions this December.

The Gloucester Grapes is offering free drinks and prizes as part of the Proper Pubs community initiative.

Running an advent calendar raffle from December 1 to December 24, customers have the chance to win daily rewards.

Each time a customer buys a drink, they receive a raffle ticket for a daily draw and the opportunity to claim prizes hidden behind advent calendar windows.

These range from Christmas hampers to festive drink bundles, and a customer’s odds increase with each drink purchased.

Meanwhile, the '12 Pints of Christmas' promotion offers beer enthusiasts an added perk.

For cocktail lovers, the pub is offering three limited-edition Christmas-themed beverages - 'Spiced Berry', 'Mistle Toe', and 'Polar Bear' - each served with a complimentary festive shot.

Shots can also be individually purchased for £2 each.

The Gloucester Grapes is part of Proper Pubs, a division of Admiral Taverns that operates across England, Wales, and Scotland.

Alongside Gloucester Grapes, other South West pubs participating in the Christmas festivities include: Albion Inn in Tewkesbury; Cossham Inn in Bristol; Fox and Elm in Gloucester; and Luckwell in Bristol.

Drinks come with varying prices starting at £5.50 for the Christmas cocktails.
