A financial planner has secured a publishing deal for his first book.
Adam Cockerham, a Chartered Financial Planner from Bradford on Avon, has signed with Harriman House, part of the Pan Macmillan group, to publish Your Money and Your Mind.
Scheduled for release in July 2026, the debut book explores the relationship between financial wellbeing and mental health, drawing on philosophy and behavioural science.

Mr Cockerham said: "I have spent the last three years writing and exploring a book that covers mental wellbeing, finances and philosophical insight to help eliminate the burden that money can hold over us.
"In my book I use my extensive experience of working with people closely on their financial behaviours and future planning.
"I have had my own mental health troubles in the past, and I discovered the practice of mindfulness and philosophical inquiry and have never been happier.
"It dawned on me that I can put the two together and help eliminate financial anxiety and emotional burden surrounding money."
Through his company Financial Adviser Bath, Mr Cockerham has spent a decade guiding clients through complex financial decisions.
His professional experience highlighted that many barriers to financial freedom are psychological, not technical.
He said: "I approached my dream publisher, Harriman House (Pan Macmillan), who publish international bestsellers such as Morgan Housel’s 'The Psychology of Money' and despite my low public profile, and being a first-time author, they thought the book’s messaging was profound and important and offered me a publishing contract."
Mr Cockerham worked closely with psychologist Jonathan Armes during the writing process.
He has previously contributed opinion pieces to Financial Times Advisor.
The book aims to reframe money as a tool for living a meaningful life, rather than an end in itself.
Drawing on Stoic philosophy, Buddhist thought, and behavioural science, Mr Cockerham offers readers a new perspective on financial wellbeing.
He regularly shares reflections on money and mindfulness through his Substack newsletter, Mindful Money.
The book encourages readers to address the beliefs that drive financial decisions and to find peace of mind regardless of their financial circumstances.
When not writing or working with clients, Mr Cockerham spends time with his family, enjoys time in nature, and maintains a focus on health and continuous learning.
The publisher is known for international bestsellers in personal finance, including The Psychology of Money by Morgan Housel.
