Sixteen gardens are set to open their gates to the public as part of an open gardens event.
Taking place in Steeple Ashton on Sunday, May 31, the event will raise vital funds for St Mary’s Church through the Preservation Trust.
Proceeds will support essential roof repairs and the addition of a kitchenette, toilet facilities, and a meeting room to improve church facilities.
Each of the 16 gardens offers something different, including a five-acre meadow and a variety of themes, from rose and gravel gardens to wildlife ponds and vegetable patches.
The village green will host a plant stall selling locally grown seedlings, cuttings, and perennials, while the village hall will serve homemade cakes and cream teas throughout the day.
Visitors can also enjoy Pimms on the lawn at Moorcroft Farm, a barbecue at St Mary’s recreation field (weather permitting), and handmade floral arrangements from St Mary’s flower arrangers.
Children up to the age of 15 are free, and dogs are welcome on short leads.
Tickets are £10 on the day, or £8.50 online via Ticket Source, and £8 from the village shop.
Parking is available on the High Street and surrounding roads, with additional space at the recreation field if weather allows.
