WARMINSTER is set to transform into 'Roarminster' this summer, as dinosaurs take over the town in a new family trail and events programme.

A dino trail, themed activities and family-friendly fun are coming to the town as part of a new dinosaur trail and event programme.

The trail will launch on Saturday, July 11, during Warminster YouthFest at the Lake Pleasure Grounds and will run until Saturday, September 5.

Cllr Jack Jones, mayor of Warminster, said: "We remain committed to trying new methods to show off our vibrant town.

"Roarminster will increase footfall, support local businesses and create a fun, family-friendly attraction.

"The town continues to invest and organise vibrant activities for our residents which also encourages visitors to our town.

"We’re incredibly excited to be hosting these ‘roarsome’ dinosaurs during the summer holidays.

"The event is about creating something fun, memorable and family-friendly for Warminster."

Five dinosaur models will be placed at various locations around the town, and visitors will be encouraged to find them, learn about the different dinosaurs, and take part in a prize draw.

Shop windows will be decorated with dino-themed displays, and Warminster Library will offer a selection of dinosaur books to borrow.

A special dinosaur-themed cocktail will also be available.
