A town centre convenience store and Post Office have reopened under new management after a brief closure.

The One Stop store in Chippenham Market Place announced it would be closing temporarily to allow new management to take over the business earlier this month.

The shop and Post Office were due to close on Sunday, June 7, and reopen 48 hours later.

Customers have since been welcomed back to the shop and have been promised a “fresh start” for the community.

A poster published by the new management team told residents there will be more investment, new energy and experience, and great offers and other improvements to the store.

On behalf of the team, Tharman Rubeshwaran said the Post Office was a key area of the store that would be improved in the coming months.

The Post Office had previously faced complaints from customers following a spate of closures earlier this year.

Mr Rubeshwaran said: “The Post Office is a key part of the store and we’re already looking at ways to improve it.

“We’re hoping to extend Post Office opening hours and provide a more reliable service going forward.

“Lots of positive changes are planned over the coming weeks, so watch this space.”
