Trowbridge, Warminster, Bradford on Avon and surrounding villages will be affected by works ranging from gas and electrical connections, resurfacing, drainage and broadband installation.
Below is a summary of the closures and how long they will last:
- Trowbridge - August 16
Polebarn Road will be closed in both directions between No.16 Polebarn Road and the junction with McDonogh Court.
The closure is in place to facilitate resurfacing work between 8am and 4pm.
Valletta Surfacing Limited will carry out the repairs.
There is no alternative route available.
- Warminster - July 27 to August 21
Smallbrook Road will be closed to allow Wales & West Utilities Ltd to carry out gas main replacement work.
The closure will extend from the junction with Beckford Close to the junction with Chain Lane and will be in effect 24 hours a day.
An alternative route has been put in place via Gipsy Lane, Plants Green, B3414 and Smallbrook Lane.
- Trowbridge - July 27 to September 11
Part of West Ashton Road will be closed to allow UK Power Solutions to carry out electrical and gas connection works.
The closure will extend from the junction with Broadcloth Lane East to the junction with the B3105.
An alternative route is via the B3105, A361 and the unaffected section of West Ashton Road.
- Bradford on Avon and Westwood - July 27 to August 1
Openreach is carrying out overhead cabling and associated works, which will result in the closure of Jones Hill (between the junctions with Southleigh and Lye Green), Lye Green (between the junctions with Jones Hill and C222), and C222 (between the junctions with Lye Green and C217), affecting both Bradford on Avon and Westwood.
The roads will be closed from 9.30am to 3.30pm each day.
The alternative routes are as follows:
- For Jones Hill and Lye Green: via Jones Hill (unaffected section), B3109, C216, C217 and C222, and vice versa.
- For C222: via C222 (unaffected section) and C217, and vice versa.
- Holt - July 27 to July 31
The B3107 will be closed from the junction with Little Parks to the junction with Station Road to allow Wiltshire Council to carry out drainage works.
The closure will be in effect 9.30am to 3.30pm daily.
An alternative route is via B3107 (unaffected section), B3105, A361, A350, and B3107 (unaffected section), and vice versa.
- Trowbridge - July 27 to October 2
Mortimer Street will be closed in phases to enable highway improvement and associated maintenance works.
The closure will be in three phases:
- Phase 1: Northbound carriageway, from the junction with New Road to the junction with the A363.
- Phase 2: Both directions, from the junction with New Road to the junction with the A363.
- Phase 3: Southbound carriageway, from the junction with New Road to the junction with the A363.
The alternative routes are:
- A: Mortimer Street (unaffected section), Frome Road, A361.
- B: Mortimer Street (unaffected section), Frome Road, A361, A363.
- C: Mortimer Street (unaffected section), A361, Frome Road, Mortimer Street (unaffected section).
The works will be carried out consecutively throughout the specified period.
- Trowbridge - July 27 to July 31
The footway river crossing south of Wicker Hill will be closed between the junctions with Stallard Street and Wicker Hill for tree maintenance works.
Access will be maintained where possible, although delays may occur.
The closure will be in place from 8.30am to 5pm daily.

Eastbourne Road - 20mph speed limit
Wiltshire Council has also announced plans to introduce a 20mph speed limit on several roads in Trowbridge.
The roads affected are Alma Street, Ashton Street (including spur road), Berkeley Road, Eastbourne Road, Eastbourne Gardens, Furlong Gardens, Harford Street, Larkspur (complete lengths), and a section of Lark Down (from a point 34 metres north of its junction with Barn Glebe for a distance of 23 metres).

Comments on the proposal can be submitted until August 24, people must quote reference number HKB/TRO/TROW.
