A man has been charged after a crash that caused a serious gas leak in a Wiltshire town.
Emergency services were called to Station Road in Tidworth shortly after 9pm on Thursday, August 6, after a one-vehicle crash damaged a gas main at the site.
Houses within 100 metres of the site were evacuated and roads were cordoned off following a gas leak.
At the time of the incident, police arrested a man on suspicion of careless driving and Section 4 of the Road Traffic Act.

The force has since confirmed that 21-year-old Albert Kweku-Duah, from Aldershot, has been charged with careless driving and driving without insurance in connection with the incident.
He is due to appear in court in October.
On Friday, gas firm SGN confirmed its crews were still working to repair a gas governor at the junction of Station Road and Perham Down Road after the crash.
Assessments of the damage and safety checks of the area were still ongoing.
The gas supply for around 190 properties in the area was lost as a result of the incident.
