A summer fun day has raised £2,500 for a dementia charity based in Wiltshire.
The event, organised by Trowbridge-based meals provider apetito | Wiltshire Farm Foods, was held at Hilperton Village Hall and supported Beyond Dementia, a charity that helps people living with dementia and their families.
The fun day brought together staff and families for a day of entertainment and fundraising activities.
Ian Stone, chief executive at apetito | Wiltshire Farm Foods, said: "Events like this one are hugely important to us at apetito, bringing people together and creating a sense of community across the business.
"It was brilliant to see colleagues and their families enjoying their day, while also supporting an important, local charity that has been close to our business for over ten years."
A packed schedule of activities kept guests entertained throughout the day.
Visitors enjoyed live music from local band Be Like Will, a dance lesson from Ceroc, and a performance by Hyrne Dziewuchy.
There were also activities run by Active Trowbridge and Trowbridge Wanderers Football Club, as well as donkey rides from Kelly’s Donkeys, face painting from Steph Hair and Makeup, and a fancy-dress competition for younger attendees.
Apetito staff helped run a variety of stalls, including a tombola, arts and crafts, and a barbecue, while food was also served from the company’s 'Appetiser' food van.
Mr Stone said: "We’re proud of everyone involved in organising and contributing to such a successful event.
"The funds raised will help Beyond Dementia continue their vital work and will be matched by our business through our annual partnership donation.
"This is a brilliant example of what we can achieve when we come together, both enhancing the health and wellbeing of our team and driving social value into our local community."
