Extensive vandalism was caused to a premises and damaged caravans in a Wiltshire village, sparking a police appeal.

Overnight between July 11 and July 12, suspects forced entry via a window to the Gravers site in Edington Road in Steeple Ashton, near Trowbridge.

Wiltshire Police have said that the suspects “extensively damaged and vandalised” the property, with “significant damage” caused to fixtures and fittings.

On the same night, at Raydown Leaze, rubble and rocks were thrown over a fence, damaging caravans.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We are appealing for witnesses and information after a premises was extensively damaged and vandalised in Steeple Ashton.

“Sometime overnight from 11th to 12th July, unknown suspects have forced entry to the Gravers site in Edington Road, Steeple Ashton, through a window and caused significant damage to the fixtures and fittings around the whole premises.

“They have also stolen a Bath rugby shirt which was framed on the wall.

“On the same night along the same road at Raydown Leaze, multiple bits of rubble and rocks have been thrown over the fence, damaging multiple caravans.

“We are keen to hear from anyone with CCTV or who witnessed anything suspicious.
