Five allotments have been damaged in a suspected deliberate fire.
Fire crews attended the allotment site in Trowbridge off Bradford Road shortly after 9pm on Sunday, August 23.
Nearby homes were evacuated while crews tackled the blaze, and no injuries were reported.
Damage was caused to sheds, allotment planting and an adjacent field.
The incident is the latest in a growing number of suspected deliberate fires across the country, spurred on by a trend on social media platform TikTok, impacting allotments and farmland during the recent spell of hot, dry weather.
Allotment owner Rob Macewan said: "Somebody came here and set fire to them – five different plots have been deliberately targeted – four of which were ongoing until 9pm.
“It’s all about what they can get on social media. It's awful”
He said the damage included soil and equipment, and one allotment holder was not even able to access his plot.
Residents have been urged to avoid the area and report suspicious behaviour.
Wiltshire Police said the fire may have been deliberately started and officers are investigating.
No arrests have been made, and enquiries continue, with any available footage being sought.
